The new official examination system under the new academic structure since 2012.

​

Local school curriculum allow candidates to undertake 4 core subjects (Chinese, English, Mathematics & Liberal Studies). In addition to 2 to 3 elective subjects selected from Category A Senior Secondary subjects; Category B Applied Learning subjects or Category C Other Language subjects.

​

The candidates' achievement will be expressed from level 1 (lowest) to 5, 5 * and 5** (highest) for Category A. Whilst, that for Category B will be reported as"Attained with Distinction (I)", Attained with Distinction (II)" or"Unattained".
